Sniffing You Out is a visual representation of realizing the unfortunate true colors of someone you care deeply about. After quickly falling for someone, I fell into this person’s pattern of manipulation and emotional abuse confusing it for love and affection. As I came to terms with their behavior, I channeled my sadness and anger into this piece of art. I sought to capture one of the most difficult and powerful points of overcoming a toxic relationship: the realization that that person isn’t who you think they are and unveiling they never will be.
